DISASSEMBLY PROCEDURE
Dismantling of Main Unit
(1) Put the system upwards.
(2) Loosen 8 screws “A” open Top cover.
(3) Disconnect the wires in the canbinet.
Dismantling of Back Panel.
(1) Loosen 12 screw “G”.
(2) Disconnect the wires to draw out the Back Panel.
Dismantling of Main Board
(1) Keep flat the Top cover.
(2) Loosen 6 screw ”C”, to detach Main Board.
Dismantling of AMP+Power Board & Jack Board
(1) Loosen 4 screw “I”,to detach Jack Board.
(2) Loosen 6 screw“H”,to detach Remote Board
Dismantling of MIC Board &VFD Board
(1) Loosen 4 screw “D”detach MIC Board & loosen 5 screw”E” detach KEY Board.
(2) Loosen 2 screw“F” detach KEY Board.

TEST MODE (Service mode)
The Following seven test modes are provided for this unit:
1. Mode 1: "VERSION" for confirmation of the versions, "WLAN CH" for confirmation of the wireless LAN channel, "LANGUAGE" for setting of the language.
2. Mode 2: "DISPLAY OFF" for making all LEDs and LCD unlit.
3. Mode 3: "DISPLAY ON" for making all LEDs and LCD lit.
4. Mode 4: "KEY/LED TEST" for confirmation of individual keys.
5. Mode 5: "SW TEST" for confirmation of individual switches.
6. Mode 6: "VOL TEST" for confirmation of the values of the rotary variable controls and the slider values.
7. Mode 7: "SELECTOR TEST" for confirmation of individual rotary selector.
How to Enter Test Mode (Other than Entering WLAN TEST Mode)
While holding the DECK 2 TRANS and DECK 2 CUE buttons pressed, press the STANDBY/ON button to turn the unit on.
(Hold the buttons pressed more than 2 seconds.)
How to Change Test Modes
To change Test modes, turn the DECK 1 Rotary selector clockwise or counterclockwise.
To shift from Mode 7 to Mode 1 or from Mode 1 to Mode 7, press the DECK 1 Rotary selector.
Then, Test modes can be changed again with a turn of the DECK 1 Rotary selector.
Mode 1: "VERSION" for confirmation of the versions,
"WLAN CH" for confirmation of the wireless LAN channel,
"LANGUAGE" for setting of the language.
Immediately after Test mode is entered (Mode 1) the versions, range of settable channels for the wireless LAN, and LANGUAGE setting are displayed on the LCD.
LANGUAGE setting
Select a language by turning the DECK 2 Rotary selector clockwise or counterclockwise then press it to register the selected language. A ">" symbol is displayed at the left of the registered language.
The languages change in the order indicated below.
1: English
2: Japanese
3: Korean
4: Simplified Chinese
Mode 2: "DISPLAY OFF" for making all LEDs and LCD unlit
After this mode is entered, "DISPLAY OFF" will be displayed for about 1 sec. then all indications on the LCDs will disappear and the LEDs will go dark or dim.
Mode 3: "DISPLAY ON" for making all LEDs and LCD lit
After this mode is entered, "DISPLAY ON" will be displayed for about 1 sec. then all indications on the LCDs and all LEDs will light.
Mode 4: "KEY/LED TEST" for confirmation of individual keys
When this mode is entered, "KEY/LED TEST" is displayed on the LCD. In this mode, when a key is pressed, the corresponding LED will light.
# The DECK 1 JOG LEDs (blue) will light one by one if the DECK 1 AUTO BEAT LOOP control is turned.
# The DECK 2 JOG LEDs (blue) will light one by one if the DECK 2 AUTO BEAT LOOP control is turned.
# The LINK indicator LEDs will light one by one if the DECK 1 BEAT control is turned.
# The position of the lit LED for the L-ch LEVEL indicator changes from bottom to top if the DECK 2 BEAT control is turned clockwise. It changes from top to bottom if the DECK 2 BEAT control is turned counterclockwise.
# The position of the lit LED for the R-ch LEVEL indicator changes from bottom to top if the DECK 2 rotary selector is turned clockwise. It changes from top to bottom if the DECK 2 Rotary selector is turned counterclockwise.
Mode 5: "SW TEST" for confirmation of individual switches
When this mode is entered, "SW TEST" is displayed. The set position of each switch is indicated on the LCD.
Mode 6: "VOL TEST" for confirmation of the values of the rotary variable controls and the slider values
When this mode is entered, "VOL TEST" is displayed on the LCD.
The value for each VR or slider that is operated will be indicated.
Mode 7: "SELECTOR TEST" for confirmation of individual rotary selector
When this mode is entered, “SELECTOR TEST” is displayed on the LCD.
# The value for each rotary selector that is operated will be indicated.
# The value will increase if a rotary selector is turned clockwise and decrease if it is turned counterclockwise.
# If the value reaches FF while a rotary selector is turned clockwise and it is then further turned, the value will return to 00 then continue to increase. If the value reaches 00 while a rotary selector is turned counterclockwise and it is then further turned, the value will return to FF then continue to decrease.
To shift from Mode 7 to Mode 1 or from Mode 1 to Mode 7, press the DECK 1 Rotary selector.
"WLAN TEST" for confirmation of the Wireless LAN
While holding the DECK 2 ROLL and DECK 2 CUE buttons pressed, press the STANDBY/ON button. (Hold the buttons pressed more than 2 seconds.)
"WLAN TEST" is indicated on the LCDs, and the SSID selection screens are displayed.
When a wireless device, such as a tablet PC or smartphone, is to be connected for the first time
1. While holding the DECK 2 ROLL and DECK 2 CUE buttons pressed, press the STANDBY/ON button to turn on the unit.
2. Select the SSID to be used for test, by turning the DECK 2 Rotary selector clockwise, then press it to determine the selection. (A ">" symbol is displayed at the left of the determined SSID.)
3. Select the SSID of this unit on the Wireless LAN Setup screen of the wireless device.
4. If in some seconds the indication "NO CONNECT" is changed to "CONNECT" on this unit, connection has been successfully completed.
If connection fails, the "NO CONNECT" indication will remain displayed.
When a wireless device that has been connected with this unit before is to be used
1. While holding the DECK 2 ROLL and DECK 2 CUE buttons pressed, press the STANDBY/ON button to turn on the unit.
2. Select the SSID to be used for test, by turning the DECK 2 Rotary selector clockwise, then press it to determine the selection.
3. If the indication "NO CONNECT" is changed to "CONNECT" on this unit, connection has been successfully completed.
How to Reset to the Factory Default Settings
1. While holding the DECK 2 FLANGER and DECK 2 CUE buttons pressed, press the STANDBY/ON button to turn on the unit. (Hold the buttons pressed more than 2 seconds.)
2. Resetting is completed when "COMPLETE!" is displayed on the LCD.
3. The unit enters STANDBY mode.

Startup display
"CD Test Mode" displayed for 5 seconds.
To exit this mode, unplug the power cord.
Before starting the test
Open the tray and disc.
Even if the disk is, the tray must let OPEN > CLOSE.
Press the SOURCE button to return to "0 CD TEST MODE".
SERVO CHECK

Enter to CD TEST MODE.
Press PLAY button continuously for over 1 second to switch directly to SUB CODE readout.
Press the SOURCE button to return to "0 CD TEST MODE".
Press PLAY button repeatedly to access the following,
A. LD ON
B. FOCUS ON
C. CLV ON
D. TRACKING ON
E. SUB CODE readout (playback sound output)
Pickup movement
Enter to CD TEST MODE.
In the stop mode, pickup moves FWD (outwards) or REV (inwards) direction when Cursor RIGHT or Cursor LEFT button is pressed.
Pickup movement stops when button released.
When Cursor LEFT button pressed, move to stop operation condition after detection that inner switch has turned on.
All servo on and auto adjustment.
Enter to CD TEST MODE.
When Cursor UP button is pressed, all servos turn on, auto adjustment is performed and switch to playback operation.
(Playback sound output)
Press Stop (stop to the playback state after auto adjustment)
Press SOURCE button to stop Servo.
After stopping, conduct reading of auto adjust values.
When Cursor UP/DOWN button is pressed, the adjustment values are displayed in the following order.
1. FOCUS BALANCE
2. FOCUS GAIN
3. TRACKING BALANCE
4. TRACKING GAIN
5. FOCUS OFFSET
6. TRACKING OFFSET
7. RFRP
Laser Current display

Enter to CD TEST MODE.
When VOLUME UP button is pressed for over 1 second while the RCD-N7 is in the CD TEST MODE, the laser turns on and the laser current is measured.
The laser drive current undergoes A/D conversion for calculation.
The current value is updated every 3 seconds.
Overwriting the stored data
When the PLAY button is pressed for over 5 seconds while the laser current is displayed, the current value is stored in the EEPROM (overwriting the stored data).
Once rewriting is completed, in the display "Laser current display" reappears.
Rewriting is performed when the mechanism is replaced.
Accumulated laser on time display
When the Volume Down button is pressed while the RCD-N7 is in the "CD TEST MODE", the accumulated laser on time is displayed.
The laser drive times are added and the result is displayed.
One count corresponds to 10 minutes.The accumulated laser on time is displayed in hours.Displays up to 10922 hours.
The count values are not cleared, even when the set is reset.
Count value reset
When the PLAY  button is pressed for over 5 seconds while the accumulated laser on time is displayed, the count value is reset.
